A busy weekend with halls

So I have spent the weekend doing Utopia stuff.

Yesterday I visited two village halls that we are hopefully going to use next year for our theatre groups and socials. Also planning on working on doing a 2-day theatre workshop in the summer at one of the halls after our performances.

The first hall I visited was Taddington village hall. I love how old school it is. Small stage but I think we could perform on it. Fantastic games room and a really good outdoor area for people to chill in if things got too much. I love the personality that are in these village halls. And the passion that people have for them. We have used several holes in the past and they are always ran by really passionate people who love their villages and what they do. I especially like the well-dressing pictures on the walls of this hall (Which I'm gutted I didn't get a picture of)

The second hall I visited was Youlgreave village hall. The whole hall is like TARDIS. It looks really small on the outside but when you go in it's massive. It's better than most Playhouses I have been in. It is just like a mini theatre. There was a lighting box. A fantastic stage that's quite deep and a Sound system. The full works. Again ran by a really passionate committee and we are looking at running some workshops here and linking with them in the future.

I also scheduled a few more social media posts. All the boring stuff. I can't wait to visit more village halls. I love seeing the history and the community. And I really hope that we can get Utopia involved in the local community. That's the only way we're going to grow staying local.
